Johannesburg, Feb 28 (ANI): Cricket South Africa (CSA) bid farewell to acting CEO Jacques Faul on Thursday, thanking him for his contribution to the game and helping them during what they termed as a 'difficult period' for the Proteas cricket.
CSA president Chris Nenzani said that Faul, who took over the post in March 2012, has ensured the smooth and efficient functioning of the operational side of CSA, along with a stable working environment, Sport24 reports.
According to Nenzani, Faul worked hard to restore the badly damaged reputation of CSA and created an environment which restored the confidence of existing sponsors and attracted new ones.
Wishing Faul success with his future business ventures with the Northerns Cricket Union, Titans Cricket and the Eastern Titans franchise, Nenzani said that because of Faul, CSA's commercial properties have been quickly snapped up in the market place.
CSA's chief financial officer, Naasei Appiah, will assume the role of acting CEO until the selection process of the new CEO is completed, the report added. (ANI)
