Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and opted to bat in the second and final Twenty20 international series against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Thursday.
Bangladesh, who were looking to give their retiring skipper a fitting send-off, left out opener Tamim Iqbal for a back injury and replaced him with Imrul Kayes.
Off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Twenty20 replaced pace bowler Taskin Ahmed in the visitors' only other change from the opening match they lost by six wickets.
Sri Lanka fielded an unchanged squad.
