Making his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders, Australian all-rounder Nathan Coulter-Nile put in a impressive performance on Monday, taking three wickets for just 22 runs and helping his team trump Delhi Daredevils by four wickets.
Playing in his first match of this IPL season, Coulter-Nile turned in his second-best performance in T20. His best showing had come against England in 2014, when he picked up four wickets in four overs, giving away a measly 31 runs.

Sam Billings was the first of his victims. Coulter-Nile targeted a short ball at Billings’s rib cage and got him out caught behind as the Englishman tried to pull the ball. Next, the bowler sent back Karun Nair with an almost yorker-length delivery. Nair misjudged the ball and was bowled.
Then came the turn of Rishabh Pant, who was in full flow. Pant was well-set at 38 off just 16 balls, when the Aussie sent him walking back. Coulter-Nile’s heroics helped his side restrict Delhi Daredevils to 168 for 7.
