Cook says lifting Ashes trophy at The Oval will be 'dream come true'

London, Aug 21 (ANI): England captain Alastair Cook has said that he is looking forward to lift the Ashes trophy in front of The Oval crowd and said that it will be a 'dream come true'.

According to the Mirror, Cook expressed that when one came at The Oval, one walked past pictures of Vaughan and Strauss picking up the Ashes and knowing that he would be the next captain to do it brought a smile to his face.

Cook is the man reaping the rewards of his team's performances, and whether they win, lose, or draw this week, he will get to fulfill the dream of every England captain by lifting a little urn high above his head in front of The Oval faithful, the report said.

If England wins the last Ashes Test, Cook will become the first England captain to beat Australia 4-0 in a series. (ANI)
