Congress leader commits suicide after being denied ticket

Malviya was hopeful of earning a ticket for the upcoming assembly elections in the state on November 25.

AGAR, Madhya Pradesh: Congress leader Narsingh Malviya committed suicide after he was denied a ticket for the Madhya Pradesh polls.

According to a NDTV report, gutted by the snub, the leader allegedly took poison. He died at a hospital in Ujjain.

The report adds that Malviya, a member of the party for the past two decades was hopeful of earning a ticket for the upcoming assembly elections in the state on November 25.

Congress, however, fielded another candidate Madhu Gehlot which upset Malviya.
