Click right to win a ticket to ODI

Ranchi, Jan. 12: Log on, click and win ' bagging tickets to watch Mahi and his boys take on Team Cook at the maiden ODI in Ranchi next week is as simple as that.

The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA), which is collaborating with IIM-Ranchi students for its online publicity campaign for the January 19 tie at the new Dhurwa stadium, has started an online quiz that gives everyone a chance to win a ticket a day.

All one has to do is answer simple questions.

The move by the state cricket body, which is uploading the questions on its official Facebook page www.facebook.com/JSCA.official www.facebook.com/JSCA.official, has already received a tremendous response recording close to 1,700 likes for the page so far.

Though the web page of JSCA was set up on November 16 last year, the state cricket body started the quiz only on January 3. Since then the hits on the page have increased manifold, said sources.

According to rules, a user first needs to register him/herself before being allowed to attempt the questions. If answered correctly, he/she stands a chance to win a free ticket.

"The names of all the participants who answer correctly are collected and then the winner decided through a random lottery," said Mohd Thanveer of the social media-marketing department of IIM-Ranchi.

Officials said nine residents had so far won tickets through the quiz. Apart from names, photographs of six of the nine winners have also been posted online.

Question number 10 was posted online today.

In order to give participants an insight into the kind of questions that they could expect, JSCA officials have also uploaded the first two questions asked by them.

The first poser required participants to identify the player who was accused of stealing during India's tour of England in 1974. The six options for the participants to choose from were Eknath Solkar, Madan Lal, Brijesh Patel, Dennis Amis, Pankaj Roy or none of the above.

The second bouncer by the cricket body was on the only two English batsmen who were able to score centuries during England's forgettable tour of India in 1993 where they lost all three Test matches.

The six winners whose photos have been uploaded so far are Krutik Shah, Nishant Jairath, Anand Kumar, Kashish Agarwal, Prince Kumar and Ajinkya Jadhav.
