Calcutta: Rituparna Das whipped RP Sara 22-20, 21-9 in the under-19 girls' semi-finals of the 37th Junior National Badminton Championships being held in Imphal, on Saturday. In the final on Sunday, Rituparna will meet Ruthvika Shivani, who defeated Reshma Kartik 21-13, 14-21, 21-9.

Calcutta: The BCCI has decided to extend its one-time benefit scheme to former Test opener Devang Gandhi and left-arm spinner Utpal Chatterjee. While Devang will get Rs 25 lakh, Utpal will be richer by Rs 30 lakh.
