Melbourne, May 31 (ANI): A newborn boy from China, who was rescued after he became lodged in a toilet pipe, was released from the hospital to his maternal grandparents on Wednesday.
According to reports, the mother of the child, known as "Baby 59," will not be facing charges, after officials concluded that the baby fell into the toilet accidentally, News.com.au reported.
The 22-year-old woman from Jinhua in the eastern province of Zhejiang, has been hospitalised due to complications occurring from the delivery and has not been staying with the baby, and remains under medical care, the state-run Jinhua Evening News reported.
The baby's stunning two-hour rescue captivated the world and prompted an outpouring of charity on his behalf. (ANI)
