Sydney, Jan. 8 (ANI): A Cricket Australia executive has said that they do not want to see Shane Warne's behaviour imitated.
Warne has been banned for one game and fined 4500 dollars after being found guilty of breaching CA's code of behaviour during his explosive argument with Melbourne Renegade all rounder Marlon Samules during a Big Bash League (BBL) match at the MCG on Sunday.
Warne became the first player to be banned from the Australian domestic Twenty20 competition, overshadowing the fact that the MCG was packed with close to a 50,000 strong audience, News.com.au reports.
Warne said he was disappointed with some of his actions, but also made it clear he was not happy with the 'severity' of the penalties.
CA's executive general manager of marketing, digital and communications, Ben Amarfio, said that Warne had disappointed them with his behaviour.
He said that they obviously don't want to see that kind of role model behaviour throughout cricket anywhere, the report added. (ANI)
