BENGALURU Arbor Brewing Company (ABC) India This brewpub from Michigan, USA, came to India in 2012, bringing with it the brews and hues of the quintessential Ann Arbor pub. Its signature Sacred Cow IPA, Brasserie Blonde, and No Parking Pilsner amongst others are the recipes brought down from its parent outlet, along with its lip smacking American dishes. The Biere Club Bringing homemade brews to Bengaluru, the Biere Club has seven ale brews, seven lager brews, three stout brews, three wheat brews, and five seasonal brews of its own. Apart from all the beer, the Chophouse is also a special feature, serving up steak and grill delicacies. Toit Toit’s is Bangalore’s much-loved brewpub, with is cool interior decor and six kinds of brews. At Toit’s, go for their coffee and chocolate stout, their English pale ale or a fruity amber ale, amongst other brews. Combine those with their Mexican starters, Italian pastas, 12-inch pizzas or even their lamb chops. If you plan on going on a weekend, a reservation is essential. Barleyz – The Brew House Barleyz will soon be brewing five kinds of craft beer:  Weit, ale, porter, Blonde and the Barleyz Special. DELHI Howzzat The cricket-lover’s dream, this is India’s first sports-themed microbrewery bar. Its three craft brews are called Doosra, Googly and Bouncer and are a hit with its Delhi fans. NEAR DELHI The Brewmaster Head to the Brewmaster in Ludhiana for a taste of what is hailed as Punjab’s first microbrewery. PUNE Doollaly’s The 1st Brewhouse Located in the same compound as the Corinthians Boutique Hotel, Pune’s first brewpub is a local favourite. TJ’s Brew Works Roasted malt and hints of chocolate, a Belgian wheat and barley malt, a green apple twinge with mint –TJ’s Brew Works in Hadapsar is definitely a place to check out. Barely a year old, the pub has a relaxed feel to it, with indoor and outdoor seating and serves up European, continental and American fare. MUMBAI The Barking Deer It’s a wonder how Mumbai doesn’t have its own brewpub yet, considering the amount of beer-lovers in the city. Luckily, there seems to be some respite on the horizon. A livemint article tells us that The Barking Deer— founded by Gregory Kroitzsh and brew master Benjamin Johnson—will soon be Mumbai’s first brewpub.
