Brazilian prostitutes learning free English ahead of sex tourists during 2014 FIFA WC

London, Jan 9(ANI): Prostitutes in Brazil are taking up free English lessons ahead of the football World Cup in 2015, as they are anticipating a barrage of foreign sex clients during the global tournament.

Cida Vieira, president of the Association of Prostitutes in the city of Belo Horizonte, said that 20 have already signed up for the courses and she expects at least 300 of 4,000 members to follow suit, the Daily Mirror reports.

The association is organising the classes and seeking volunteer teachers, it further reported.

Vieira said she doesn't thinks the organization will have problems persuading English teachers to provide services for free, adding they already have several volunteer psychologists and doctors helping them.

Vieira added the free English classes are expected to begin in March and last up to eight months.

Vieira said its important for the girls from his organization to learn English to let their clients know how much exactly they charge and to learn what turns their clients on, adding that for the same reasons they are also thinking of offering free French and Italian classes.

Prostitution is legal in Brazil. Belo Horizonte's 62,000-seat Mineirao Stadium will host six games of the World Cup. (ANI)
