The world of portable technology has never been more exciting. So let’s (momentarily) forget about the latest Apples, Androids and Symbian 3 OSes already in stores and hail Microsoft’s new entrant – the Windows 7 phone. When it comes to smart phones, any novice can tell you that most OSes offer similar features – apps, email, calendars, social networking and all round connectivity to sum it all up. And initially, it seemed like that’s all Microsoft’s latest effort was offering too. But there is one distinctive feature that could make this system a winner – Xbox LIVE. Yep. Windows 7 phones comes fully equipped with an on-the-go Games Hub for single and multi-player gaming. Xbox LIVE even lets you create a profile, earn points and contribute to your overall game score. Of course, the idea of hooking your Xbox 360 up to your mobile device is still somewhat of a work in progress but you can still play socially and rake in points to increase your overall score across gaming mediums. The games look and play great and the Marketplace is populated with titles Halo, The Sims 3, Need for speed and Star Wars: Battle for Hoth. 1. HTC Mozart: Crafted from a single piece of anodized aluminum, the slim HTC 7 Mozart quite predictably lives up to its name by integrating Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW HD for high fidelity, virtual surround sound. 2. Samsung Focus: With a touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, 8GB built-in memory, Samsung Focus is a high-end smart phone that comes with a microSD slot to expand its memory by 16GB. 3. Dell Venue Pro: A portrait slider phone with a full Qwerty keypad, just like the N8, the Dell Venue Pro comes with a Gorilla glass display. - Afsha Khan
