Sydney, June 12 (ANI): Former Australian captain Allan Border has said that he would 'piggyback Sir Ian 'Beefy' Botham around Piccadilly Circus if England beat Australia 5-0 in the Ashes.
Border has responded to mocking predictions from Botham and the English press that a 5-0 whitewash of Australia is imminent in the Ashes, by saying that the current Australian squad will be even more stirred up by the comments, News.com.au reports.
Border, the captain who led Australia's underdog Ashes triumph in 1989, further said that his Australian team from 1989 was also subject to the same provocative headlines.
Border's response was to force his troops to be stared in the face with the negative articles every day and he encouraged current skipper Michael Clarke to adopt the same method ahead of the first Test on July 10. (ANI)
