BJP says it has full faith in Gadkari's leadership

New Delhi, Nov. 6 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday evening gave clean cheat to party president Nitin Gadkari and said party has full faith in his leadership.

Soon after the meeting of the BJP's top leaders at party headquarter, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said: "Well known accountant S Gurumurty has examined the documents about allegation of financial impropriety on Gadkari and he briefed the BJP leaders about the matter in this meeting."

"No impropriety has been found in this matter from Gadkari's side," added Prasad.

BJP also issued a joint statement from signed by leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Sushma Swaraj and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Arun Jaitley on the issue.

However, split within the party widened as senior leader LK Advani skipped the top brass meet. Gadkari was also not present in the meeting.

Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) ideologue S Gurumurthy briefed 14 top leaders of the BJP Gurumurthy's presentation has also been given to Advani.

In a statement earlier, Advani had congratulated Gadkari for subjecting himself to an investigation. (ANI)
