BJP flays UPA Government over poverty, inflation and corruption

Karnal (Haryana), Dec. 16 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lashed out at Congress-led UPA Government on Sunday underscoring skyrocketing inflation, corruption, poverty and unemployment as major problems in the country and urged people to vote out the Congress Party in coming elections.

The rally was jointly called by the BJP and Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) in which BJP president Nitin Gadkari and Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj targeted the Congress-led state government as well as UPA saying that the Congress had been rocked by scams at every place.

Addressing the rally, Gadkari took a jibe at Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi and said that he is carrying out the mission his great grandfather had started to eradicate poverty from the country.

"Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru was the prime minister he had assured to eradicate poverty from the country, and then Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi assured the same. But a large section of the society is still languishing in poverty. And now Sonia Gandhi is repeating the same dialogue and Rahul Gandhi is campaigning from village to village with the same assurance," said Gadkari.

Alleging the Congress of taking up the anti-people economic policies, Gadkari said that farmers are not getting proper price for their crop, while price of the other commodities increasing day by day. (ANI)
