Biography to tell all about striptease queen `Rose Chan`

Kuala Lumpur, June 17(ANI): A biography on striptease queen Rose Chan will be release by the end of the year.

According to Kwong Wah Yit Poh, the book will have details about the struggles and success of Chan, who is known as Asia's 'undisputed striptease dancer', the Star Online reported.

The book will include the story of her finding a way around colonial British decency laws and her battle with cancer, which led to her death at the age of 62 in 1987.

The book entitled 'No Bed of Roses: The Rose Chan Story' was recently completed by award-winning poet Cecil Rajendra and will be published in Singapore by Marshall Cavendish.

Chan started her career as a cabaret dancer before becoming a striptease dancer at 27.

She decided to turn into a strip teaser when she received thunderous applause from the audience after a wardrobe malfunction exposed her chest. (ANI)
