New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- A senior marketing manager of a regional newspaper and his colleague became the latest victims of road rage in south Delhi's Amar Colony when they were attacked with batons by three persons in a car after the duo's motorcycle touching their vehicle's door.
Bijay Ojha and Anupam Chatterjee were on a motorcycle in Sant Nagar at the time of the incident.
A case of wrongful restraint and voluntarily causing hurt has been registered against the three at the Amar Colony police station. The police have identified the accused and a manhunt has been launched under the supervision of Virender Jain, SHO, Amar Colony police station, to nab them. The culprits have been reported missing from their homes in northeast Delhi's Jyoti Nagar.
A senior police officer said the matter came to their notice after Ojha made a call to the police control room and alleged that they were bashed up by three occupants of a Santro car while they were headed towards their office in Nehru Place.
"Ojha told us that he was riding his motorcycle and Chatterjee was riding pillion. On the way, the driver of a Santro car that was parked in the middle of the road suddenly opened the door and Ojha was hurt in his hand," said the officer.
