Bell, Giles dreaming of ICC Champions Trophy win for England

London, Apr.16 (ANI): English cricketer Ian Bell says Champions Trophy success at Edgbaston would run Ashes glory very close.

Both Bell and former Warwickshire coach Ashley Giles, who is now in charge of the England one-day set-up, are dreaming of making it to Edgbaston for the final on June 23 and lifting the ICC 50-over crown.

Bell also believes doing so would push Giles' claims for the full England job when Andy Flower finally steps down.

According to the Daily Mail, Giles' 30-man squad will be slimmed down to 15 on May 5 before a three-match ODI series against New Zealand.

Their first match in the Champions Trophy is against Australia at Edgbaston on June 8.

Ian Bell was launching the new England one-day international and Test match cricket kit, supplied by Adidas. (ANI)
