Sydney, Jan 12(ANI): Banned cyclist Lance Armstrong is likely to confess to doping in the scheduled Oprah Winfrey no-holds-barred chat show, according to American newspaper, USA Today.
The newspaper cites a source, a person with knowledge of the situation, who said that while Armstrong will confess, it is unlikely he will go into specific details about his doping, the Herald Sun reports.
The interview will tape on Monday, but won't air until Thursday.
According to Winfrey's website, this will be a no-holds-barred interview with Armstrong, who was stripped of seven Tour de France titles in October.
It will be the first interview with Armstrong since his cycling career crumbled under the weight of a massive report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
An admission of guilt would not make a difference to Armstrong's life ban.
Having been banned for life and stripped of his seven titles in the Tour de France, Armstrong would have to provide substantial assistance to doping officials before he could have his eligibility reinstated. (ANI)
