Amir Khan says meeting 'unbeaten' Mayweather would be 'dream fight'

London, Oct 30 (ANI): British boxer Amir Khan has said that meeting unbeaten champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. would be his dream fight.

Khan's proposed fight with former WBC and IBF light-welterweight champ Devon Alexander has fallen through, which has paved the way for a lucrative clash with Mayweather next year.

According to the Daily Star, the American is still in top form, having recently outclassed Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to claim his 45th successive win.

Stating that meeting Mayweather would be his 'dream fight', Khan said that both of them are the superstars of boxing, adding that he wants to fight Mayweather as the American is a great fighter and he wants to fight the best.

Khan further said that he does not lack confidence in his own ability, adding that to fight Mayweather, a boxer needs to use all of his speed and good footwork and walk into his (Mayweather) shots. (ANI)
