Afridi says Pak has 'no room for escape' in upcoming ODIs against Proteas

Karachi, Oct 25 (ANI): Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has said that the team can have no room for excuses in the upcoming one-day internationals against South Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as all the pitches and the conditions will be in their favour.

Pakistan is in tatters as South Africa scent an innings victory in the second and final Test to make things even, following which there will be a five-match ODI series between the two nations in the Gulf kingdom.

According to the Express Tribune, the experienced all-rounder insisted that Pakistan should dominate the ODIs as they have no excuses of conditions or the pitches failing them since both the things will be in their favour against South Africa, adding that any result in the final Test will hardly make an impact on the one-dayers.

Afridi further said that Pakistan would have to come with a new frame of mind and strategy for the ODI series, adding that he is looking forward to performing in the upcoming series. (ANI)
