Tunis, Jan 23 (IANS) Tunisia's Carthage Eagles defeated Algeria 1-0 in their first match in Group D in the 2013 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.

Tunisia's goal Tuesday evening was the work of its star player, Youssef Msakni, whose last-minute shot in overtime gave his team a much coveted victory in an otherwise uneventful and rather tense match, reports Xinhua.
