Victoria Beckham's most controversial moments

The poshest of the Spice Girls, and definitely the richest, Victoria Beckham is the queen of controversy of sorts. Her passion for fashion extends to barely eating to maintain her size zero figure and wearing 6 inch Louboutins while pregnant. Take a look at the Spice Girl’s top 5 controversies.

1. Kidnap Scares
In 2000, Scotland Yard received a tip-off about an alleged plan to kidnap Victoria and her son, after which the family was rushed off to a secure location.
Again in 2002, five people were arrested for plotting to kidnap her after a tabloid investigated into the matter. They were later released due to unreliable witnesses. Seems like the whole world is out to get her, doesn’t it?

2. Skinny And Proud Of It
We all know how stylish this fashionista is. But she keeps landing herself in soup because of it – literally! With a diet that consists strictly of edamame beans, frozen grapes, steamed fish and raw vegetables, she sheds her baby fat faster than you can say, “Fat!” Just eight months after delivering her baby girl, the model posed for the May 2012 edition of Chinese and UK Harpers Bazaar. Painfully thin as she was, a casual remark by her added fat to the fire. The fashion designer said that she herself tried out her designs to see how it would look on the general public. Someone should go tell her that the general public definitely does not have the stick-thin figure of hers!

3. Standing Tall – In Pregnancy
A pair of Louboutins is every girl’s dream – or at least, every fashionable and ambitious girl’s dream. And Victoria Beckham rolls in them – so what if she’s highly pregnant? The former popstar, who all but showed her finger to the diktats of, you know, health and safety caused quite a furor among in 2011 when she was clicked taking her young son Cruz out to the park wearing five inch Louboutins – late into her pregnancy. Britain was shocked, and people vented on online forums, calling her ‘uncool’ for putting her unborn baby’s safety at risk!

4. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
A year ago, Posh Spice miffed the authorities of the Cathay Pacific Airlines by her antics onboard. While she was taking a Hong Kong-Beijing flight, she went and sat at a crew-only seat, and posed for a picture with a stewardess sitting next to her making a funny face. And then she goes and posts that picture on Twitter, tweeting “Cabin crew prepare for landing! Welcome to Beijing!! X vb.” Needless to say, the Airlines was not amused. But Victoria can get away with anything – we only wonder what happened to the poor stewardess?

5. Hair, There And Everywhere
In 2004, Victoria Beckham sparked controversy about Orthodox Jewish women wearing wigs by a casual comment. She was being interviewed by a TV channel and was asked whether she felt guilty about wearing a wig that was probably made from some poor prisoner in a Russian jail. Victoria Beckham replied no, and all hell broke loose. Her publicist did some damage control later, when he said that the hair was more likely to have come from India, where temples sell the sacrificed hair of the devotees.
