The Trelawny Stadium is a multi-use venue in Jamaica but mostly cricket matches are played here. It is also known as the Greenfield Stadium and it was completed in 2007. The stadium has the capacity to hold 25,000 people and was built under an agreement between Jamaica and China, which saw the Chinese Government shelling out at least US$30-million. The opening ceremony of the 2007 World Cup was held at this venue and it also played host to several warm-up matches prior to the World Cup. The stadium also hosts other sports like soccer, rugby and American football.
