Second Test : West Indies vs India at Bridgetown in Jun 2011 - Second day's play


MS Dhoni has taken 19 catches against West Indies at the end of the first day's play. He is on par with NR Mongia who also has 19 catches to his credit. SMH Kirmani has more catches than MS Dhoni and NR Mongia - 29

The rain delayed the start of the match on the second day by 45 minutes as a result of which the timings were revised. The revised timings were - 10.45 AM start, 12 to 12.40 lunch, 3.10 to 3.30 tea, and play to go on till 5.45. It can be extended till 6.15.

There were two more interruptions - when the West Indies score card read - 82 for 5 and 98 for 5. Finally the match was abandoned for the day at 5.10 PM. Thus only 25.3 overs of the allotted 90.0 overs was bowled on the second day. In terms of time lost, 195 minutes were lost out of the scheduled 360 minutes

West Indies lost two wickets - that of overnight batsman D Bishoo caught by V Kohli for I Sharma for 13 in the team's 18th over and two balls later I Sharma had RR Sarwan leg before wicket for 18 of the last ball of the same oveer.

LMP Simmons and DM Bravo were dismissed caught by wicket keeper in this innings providing the 52nd occasion of a West Indian batsman caught at the wicket against India

AB Barath and D Bishoo were caught in the filed in this innings providing the 598th occasion of a West Indian batsman dismissed caught by a fieldsman against West Indies.

RR Sarwan was dismissed leg before wicket in this innings providing the 183rd occasion of a West Indian batsman dismissed leg before wicket against India.
