SK Raina and S Badrinath became the most capped cricketers in IPL. They were playing their 52nd IPL match. SK Raina was playing his 50th innings in IPL. He became the second batsman to play 50 plus innings in IPL after AC Gilchrist who has played 51 innings.

RV Uthappa became the sixth cricketer to appear in 50 plus IPL games. This was his 50th IPL game. Others are – SK Raina {52} : S Badrinath {52} : AC Gilchrist {51} : RG Sharma {51} and V Kohli {50}.

SK Raina's IPL run aggregate stood at 1494 with his two runs in this game. He requires six more runs for his 1500 runs in IPL.

RV Uthappa would like to forget his 50th IPL appearance in a hurry as he failed to score in this game. It was his second duck in IPL.

MEK Hussey scored 61 in this game which represents his second fifty in IPL 2011. He has earlier scored 83 not out against Bangalore at Chennai on 16.04.11. He became the tenth batsman to score two or more fifties in IPL 2011. MEK Hussey's 61 represent the 40th occasion of a batsman scoring a fifty in IPL 2011. His knock represents the seventh occasion of a Chennai batsman scoring fifty. At the end of this Chennai batsmen hold the record of scoring most fifties in IPL 2011. Chennai is closely followed by Mohali and Mumbai batsmen who have scored six fifties.
 

MEK Hussey's 61 represent the 22nd occasion of an opening batsman scoring a fifty. It also represents the eighth occasion of a batsman batting at number two scoring a fifty.

AC Thomas took his T20 aggregate wickets to 118 with his two wickets in this game. JA Morkel took his T20 aggregate wickets to 120. JA Morkel stands second in the list of bowlers who have captured most wickets in IPL. DP Nannes with 134 wickets leads the table.

JA Morkel's aggregate of IPL wickets at the end of the game read 48. Others to capture more than 48 IPL wickets are – RP Singh {54}: SK Warne {53}: PP Ojha {52}: A Mishra {50}: IK Pathan {50} and SL Malinga {49}.

R Sharma and JE Taylor were dismissed run out in this game providing the 28th and 29th occasion of a batsman run out in IPL 2011.

MS Dhoni was dismissed stumped in this game to provide the 14th occasion of a batsman and the fourth occasion of a wicket keeper dismissed stumped in IPL 2011.

MS Dhoni became the second captain to be dismissed stumped in IPL after DPMD Jayawardene {Vs Bangalore at Kochi on 09.04.11}.

Chennai and Hyderabad share the record for playing most IPL games. Both the teams have played 52 games. This game was 52nd game for Chennai.

Chennai's win by 25 runs in this game gave it the 29th win in IPL. Chennai holds the record for most wins in IPL. Mumbai is close behind with 28 wins.

    PCB raises objection to BCCI's FTP structure for 2019-23

    Lahore [Pakistan], Dec 13 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has quizzed the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) proposed new Future Tours Programme for the 2019-2023 cycle, which does not feature the bilateral series between the two sides. During the BCCI's Special General Meeting (SGM) held in New Delhi on Monday, the board had maintained that the bilateral series between India and Pakistan will be possible only if the Centre gives the nod. "If the government agrees, we will make space for India-Pakistan bilateral series," BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Chaudhary had said following the SGM.

    Athletes' universal rights 'will protect from doping fallout'

    The World Players Association (WPA), whose member unions include FIFPro, NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB and which represents more than 85,000 athletes from 60 countries, hailed the declaration as the first comprehensive articulation of athletes’ rights.
