Uva Next is a cricket franchise that represents the province of Uva in Sri Lanka Premier League. The side emerged victorious in the first edition of the Twenty20 tournament under the captaincy of Thilina Kandamby. The team is owned by Success Sports Private Limited. In 2012, Uva Next defeated Nagenahira Nagas by D/L method to win the inaugural SLPL. Thus, they qualified to play for the Champions League T20 to be held in South Africa that year.
