Perth Scorchers

PS Bio

The Perth Scorchers don bright, orange colours on their jersey that represent the sun setting in the beautiful city of Perth. With WACA as their home ground, the Scorchers played in the inaugural edition Australia’s domestic T20 competition, the Big Bash League in 2011-12. Despite starting poorly, they went on to win five consecutive games under the captaincy of Marcus North and finished on top of the table along with grabbing a finals berth. However, they lost the final battle to the Sydney Sixers and secured the runners-up position. Later in 2012, the Scorchers were handed their maiden Champions League T20 campaign when they were named as one of the two Australian T20 teams to feature in the tournament.
