A right-arm medium pace bowler, Parvinder Awana represents the state of Delhi in domestic cricket and made his first-class debut against Himachal Pradesh in 2007.

Awana was the highest wicket-taker for Delhi in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy with 12 wickets in four games with an average of 8.58. He was then bought by the Punjab for the fifth edition of the IPL in 2012, on the basis of some impressive domestic performances. Awana had a fruitful IPL season, and his efforts paid off at the end, when he called up in the India ‘A’ squad for its tour of West Indies.
