Mitchell McClenaghan is a left-arm medium-fast bowler from Central Districts. He played for New Zealand A in the Emerging Players Tournament where he took 5 for 36 against England Lions. He made his first-class debut against Otago in November 2007. McClenaghan made his Twenty20 debut against Auckland. He was also in the Central Districts' squad for the Champions League in the 2010 season. However, in 2012, Auckland Aces signed him ahead of that year’s Champions League T20. Later that year, he was named in New Zealand’s T20I squad for their series against South Africa.
