Mandeep Singh is a right-handed top order batsman who represents Punjab in the domestic circuit. He was one of the stars of the 2009 Under-19 tour to Australia where he scored a crackling 151 and caught public attention.

His first-class debut came in 2010 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy where he played an impressive knock and got a half century. He was also part of the North Zone team that won the Deodhar Trophy in the same year. His efforts were recognized and he was handed over the vice-captaincy of the Indian Under-19 team in the World Cup in New Zealand.

He was picked by Kolkata initially in the Indian T20 League, but in 2011, Mandeep was signed by Mohali. A few good performances ensured that he stayed with the franchise when they bought him once again in the 2014 auction.

Mandeep was picked up by Bangalore for the 2015 Indian T20 League season. He has been retained by them since then but hasn't got many opportunities with the bat in the presence of stalwarts like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and others. His fielding skills are also sharp and that is the reason he is a good asset to have in the T20 format. He is a promising batsman but needs to deliver some big performance in order to get noticed.
