
A handy all-rounder who is a good striker of the cricket ball and also bowls handy medium pace, Chinthaka Jayasinghe is an upcoming prospect in the Sri Lankan ranks. Jayasinghe had a shining moment of triumph when he scored twin hundreds in 1995/96 against Royal College. He has played for the Sri Lankan 'A' team that had toured India in 1998. He jumped on the national area when he was drafted into the U-19 team that toured Singapore and Malaysia in 1994 and then the tour of England in 1995. The talented cricketer was part of Uva Next, which won the first-ever edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League in 2012. Later that year, he was drafted into the T20 squad ahead of the Champions League T20.
