Profile

A brawny fast bowler, Shannon Gabriel made his debut for Trinidad & Tobago in January 2010, as a 22-year old. After playing only three first-class matches, the aggressive youngster was picked by the selectors to play in the West Indies A team against Zimbabwe. The speedster managed to impress as he picked up two wickets in the second innings and was economical throughout the match.

Gabriel went on to play 14 first-class matches for T&T in the 2010-11 season and bagged 33 wickets. His best outing for T&T came against Combined Campuses and Colleges, where he picked up 7 wickets in the match. The exciting pacer was then picked for the 2011 Champions League T20, following which he was named in West Indies’ Test squad for the England tour in 2012.
