Talent and looks do go hand in hand sometimes. If in doubt ask Saurabh Tiwary! Aping India’s ‘captain cool’ MS Dhoni - his fellow Jharkhand mate - Tiwary grabbed eyeballs for more reasons than his Dhoni-esque appearance with a good stint in the 3rd edition of the Indian T20 League.

Tiwary, who started playing at the age of 11, made his first-class debut for Jharkhand in the 2006-07 season and was a key member of the Indian squad which won the 2008 Under-19 WC. Though he made his Indian T20 League debut in 2008 for Mumbai, it was the 2010 season that shot him into the limelight when he struck three half centuries and cemented his place in the middle-order. Selected for the 2010 Asia Cup, the youngster unfortunately didn’t make his debut but the selectors regarded him as one for the future nonetheless. With strong power hitting, the left-hander has the added asset of floating across the batting order. He faces tough competition from several upcoming youngsters in the one-day format, though. Having stayed for three seasons with Mumbai, Tiwary shifted base to Bangalore in 2011 till 2013 before signing up for Delhi in 2014 for the 7th edition of the Indian T20 League.
