Profile
Rahul Sharma hails from the city of Jalandhar, Punjab. He is a leg break bowler and made his first-class debut for Punjab in 2006. He was initially a member of Hyderabad in IPL but was later bought by the Pune Warriors in 2011. Impressive performances in the tournament earned him an international call-up later that year, as he was included in India’s ODI squad to face the touring Englishmen. He was also included in the Test squad to face West Indies at home but did not get a place in the main eleven, losing out to Pragyan Ojha and Ravichandran Ashwin.
