Profile

Began his career primarily as a medium-pacer, he soon carved a niche at the top of the order as an explosive batsman.Holds the record for the fastest Test double hundred, 222 from 153 balls against England in 2001-02.Won the 2005-06 Walter Hadlee Trophy as One-Day Batsman of the Year.
