A right-hand batsman and wicketkeeper, Muralidharen Gautem plies his trade for Karnataka in domestic cricket and made his first-class debut against Uttar Pradesh in 2008.
The talented batsman was grabbed by the Bangalore for the IPL, where he hardly played any matches for the first few seasons. However, his fantastic form continued in the Ranji Trophy and in 2012-13, Gautam amassed 943 runs at a staggering average of 117.87, which included two double tons and a century. He finished as the third highest run-getter that season. Owing to his run of form, Delhi signed him in 2013 for the sixth edition.
