Profile
The first impression of Manpreet Gony is that he's tall and well-built. The fact that he bends his back and likes to hit the deck only makes him a more effective bowler. What he lacks in pace he makes up for in accuracy. He was the leading wicket-taker in the domestic Deodhar Trophy which led to a signing with the Chennai Super Kings for the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League. He proved his mettle there by becoming one of the highest wicket-takers of the tournament as his side finished runners-up of the IPL. An injury to fast bowler S Sreesanth led to his national debut.
