Profile
Jehan Mubarak is a graceful left-handed batsman from Sri Lanka. He has represented his country at the under-15, under-17 and under-19 level. With only few first class games to his name, Mubarak was rushed into Sri Lankan team for the 2003 World Cup.
The southpaw is an attacking cricketer with array of strokes in his batting. He is often compared to David Gower because he plays of the way he plays the game. He failed to keep his place in the side with a series of failures. Jehan was born in Washington and is one of two Test cricketers to be born in the U.S.
The left-hander made a comeback into the Lankan side for the WT20 where he impressed everyone with some hard-hitting. Mubarak is also an excellent fielder and a handy off-spinner. Few would know he is national swimming champion.
