Jake Haberfield burst on to the domestic scene for South Australia in the 2008-09 season. In his first-class debut, he produced impressive figures of 4/60 against Queensland. The right-arm fast bowler hit a purple patch in 2009-10, picking up 18 wickets in seven first-class matches at an average of 44. He played 10 FR Cup matches that season and grabbed 15 wickets with his best figures of 3/22 coming against Tasmania. Jake was then given a full South Australia contract in 2011.
