  • Played 47 Tests and four ODIs as a leg-spinning all-rounder for Pakistan between 1959 and 1977.
  • Captained Pakistan 17 times in Test cricket and in three ODIs.
  • Played county cricket for Surrey between 1969 and 1981 taking 589 wickets in 214 matches.
  • Was manager and coach of the Pakistan team that won ICC CWC 1992.
