Harpreet Singh Bhatia hails from a small town of Madhya Pradesh and is a batting all-rounder. He won an award for the best Under-19 cricketer of the 2008-09 season owing to his score of over 700 runs in 7 matches in the Cooch Behar Trophy. He was then named vice-captain for the Under-19 tour of Australia in 2009. Later that year, he made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh. He was also named in the Under-19 squad for the World Cup in New Zealand that year.
He was signed by the Kolkata for the first few seasons of the IPL. In 2011, he was picked by the Pune Warriors.
