Profile

Grant Elliott earned a place in New Zealand's national team in March 2008 for the first Test against England at Hamilton after Jacob Oram pulled out due to injury. However, Elliott was not impressive in the longer version of the game as he struggled with bat and took one wicket in the match. The right-arm pacer is known for his swing bowling and decent batting in the domestic circuit. The all-rounder had a commendable season with the Wellington in 2006-07 as he amassed 361 runs which included two centuries. He made his first ODI appearance on 18 June 2008 against England and took three wickets conceding 23 runs in a spell of 5 overs. In his second ODI, he hit his first fifty.
