A product of the Australian Cricket Academy in 2005, Gary Putland made his first-class debut against Western Australia in 2010. He is a left-arm fast-medium bowler and has also represented Austalia in their U19 side. Nicknamed “MiniGolf”, Putland is the son of a dairy farmer and has had most of chances in the limited-overs side. He finished with impressive figures in his debut season, which makes him a strong contender for the future.
