Profile

Denesh Ramdin is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman with great potential. He is considered to be the solution to West Indies’ long drought of a quality wicket-keeper after Jeff Dujon. Ramdin is a product of the Under 19 system. Ramdin was originally a fast bowler who kept wickets after he had finished his stint with the ball. At the age of 13, he decided to concentrate only on his keeping and working on his ability as a keeper. He led Trinidad & Tobago's and West Indies’ Under-19 sides before being selected for the senior side.At the age of 19 and with the experience of only 13 first-class games, Denesh impressed one and all with great reflexes and agility behind the stumps. With a gritty and fighting attitude, Ramdin is also a valuable asset to have in the batting line-up.
