Abhishek Raut, a right-hand aggressive batsman and leg-break googly bowler from Maharashtra made his debut in 2005 against Tamil Nadu. He was signed by the Rajasthan in the IPL. He did not play in the first edition and debuted directly in the second. Known to be a T20 finisher, he ensured thrilling wins for his franchise in the tournament. In 2011, he was once again contracted by the same team.
