West Bengal Governor M. K. Narayan has called for a review into the removal of Kolkata's police commissioner, R. K. Pachanda by chief minister Mamata Banerjee in wake of the recent incidents of violence. Banerjee decided to remove Pachanda due to the recent incidents of violence on Thursday between the student's wings of the Trinamoool Congress and the Congress at a city college. Narayan stated that removal of the police chief is a matter of concern and should be evaluated. Banerjee had cited that she was removing Pachanda from the post as some crucial arrests were deliberately not made in the case.
