After agreeing for discussion on FDI in retail followed by voting under rule 184 in the Lok Sabha, the government has now agreed for voting in the Rajya Sabha also. The decision was taken in an all-party meeting, called by Chairman of the House, Hamid Ansari, after the opposition insisted for it. The debate will take place under rule 168 that entails voting in the Upper House. Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has said that it will help the government in the Lok Sabha, but it will vote against FDI in the Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile, BSP chief Mayawati said that her party would reveal its approach in the house.
