Torun, a small fairytale town in Poland, revolves around the man who showed the world the ways of the universe. As we celebrate Nicolas Copernicus’ 540th birthday, LAKSHMI SHARATH visits Torun to discover that Copernicus is the centre of the universe for the people here.
The 15th century astronomer lives in Torun. His two-storeyed house takes you into his world. We climb a wooden staircase and enter the house, which is a veritable treasure house and museum.
