The last roll of Ponting's bat
Ricky Ponting bowed out in style as the former Australia captain hit 169 not out for Surrey in his final first-class innings against Nottinghamshire on July 11, 2013.
Ponting, who retired from international cricket in December 2012 with a Test average of 51.85, had reached the landmark of 24,000 first-class runs at the start of his second innings on July 10, 2013.
Ponting ended his first-class career with 24150 runs, including 82 centuries and 106 half-centuries, with a highest score of 257 at an average of 55.90 from 494 innings in 289 matches.
